Marian Wood Kolisch (1920-2008) was the granddaughter of Portland, Oregon, artist, lawyer, and civic leader C. E. S. Wood. She was married to attorney Pierre Kolisch and had three children. In the early 1970s she began studying photography with Ansel Adams, and went on to create noted portraits of well-known Oregon figures. Exhibitions of her work were held at the Portland Art Museum, the Camera Works Gallery, the Blue Sky Gallery, and many other venues. From the description of Maria...
